VERA's Multi Period 'Scotland at War' Event

Historic Scotland again hosted its popular 'Scotland at War' event at Caeverlock Castle near Dumfries in Scotland over the Bank Holiday weekend - May 29th to 30th. Several groups were in attendance from Romans through to VERA's World War 2 time-line display (BEF 1940 to Burma 1945) along with Vickers Armstrong Home Guard. The weather on Saturday did its best to keep the crowds away but we eventually presented to just over 400 people, Sunday was far better weather and we had a public attendance of over 1000.
